HOMEMADE LOFI PSYCH --- WHERE TO START?

"There is so much great music here..." WHERE TO START???

I recommend to
start with the HLFP-Samplers (especially HLFP 04).
Here you will come to know many of the bands/musicians featured in this blog. If you like what you hear, you may check out more of their music later on.
(You may also click on the picture on the sidebar and you will find the original post with download links.)

There is also a "FOCUS ON..." section. Here you will find albums that imo are absolutely great (***** = "five-stars-recordings") and that are essential listening and strongly recommended for download.

I TRY to RE-UP some stuff that has been down from time to

time, but I still don't have enough time to

listen to/post much new stuff.

Sorry!

Tad Sonic - Hello Life it's Me. Where Are You? (AUSTRIA 2009)

From Salzburg, Austria, of all places comes TAD SONIC. Don't have much info about this guy.
Check out his Myspace site:

TAD SONIC's music is a cool mix of mainly acoustic freak-folk and full blown (electric) homemade neo psychedelia (sung in English, but there are also some instrumentals to enjoy). Some songs remind me of the old German neo psych rockers from the eighties THE 39 CLOCKS or PHANTOM PAYN ACT - though TAD SONIC is (in my opinion) better, because his music is more eclectic and more extreme. Surely he is not the most accomplished guitar player in the world, but who gives a fuck, his playing is passionate and convincing, and that is exactly what good music is all about!
TAD also works together with a guy called JASON SHELL and someone/something named EBY3.555. Look here for more info and free downloads:

Strongly recommended! Hope this post will help to give this guy the recognition he deserves!
Enjoy!

Favourite tracks: 'First attack (chapter one and two)', 'broken key', 'i don't wanna be the pain'

This is a particular case, because I think that Tad Sonic - Hello Life it's Me. Where Are You? is more than good, I mean, it is the real cream of the crop!
