"There is so much great music here..." WHERE TO START???

I recommend to start with the HLFP-Samplers (especially HLFP 04).
Here you will come to know many of the bands/musicians featured in this blog. If you like what you hear, you may check out more of their music later on.

There is also a "FOCUS ON..." section. Here you will find albums that imo are absolutely great (***** = "five-stars-recordings") and that are essential listening and strongly recommended for download.

time, but I still don't have enough time to

listen to/post much new stuff.

positive face - he knows you (USA 2009)

Gary, the man behind POSITIVE FACE, originally is from South Africa, but now lives in Brooklyn, NY. Otherwise I don't have that much info on that one. So let the music speak for itself.

POSITIVE FACE is only one of various different music projects that Gary is involved in. You may want to check out his blog http://www.hoorayface.blogspot.com/ to learn more or visit the CURLYFINGERS Myspace site (http://www.myspace.com/curlyfingers) – one of his more electronic projects.

How to describe the music?
Difficult... Layers of sound drifting in and out over a background of rhythm, sometimes dissolving into pure soundscapes; some loops, some percussion, some electronic manipulations, some samples (regarding this aspect not too dissimilar to RANGERS, though not as spaced out) ...
