Joe Knight is the man behind RANGERS. He's from Dallas, TX, USA, and he's doing some pretty amazing stuff. Joe writes (on Myspace), that he's influenced by STREET VENDORS and SOUVENIERS. I don't know either of those two, so I can't say much about that. What I CAN say, is: THIS MUSIC IS GREAT! - very original, always an adventure to listen to (though it IS indeed quite lofi) and that I find myself listening to RANGER's fantastic, exotic music quite a lot...
Enjoy!

thanks for posting! listening to street smell II, its really quiet, should have made it a little louder. ah well.
I've been listening to the first compilation for a while now and decided it was time to try the sequel. This much I know: Rangers has/have an aesthetic - Rangers always sounds just like Rangers and nobody else. It's a murky, narcotic sound for riding the wild surf of the mind.
Thanks BAM I'm looking forward to vertigo swirl!
where can I get the first collage?
