"There is so much great music here..." WHERE TO START???

I recommend to start with the HLFP-Samplers (especially HLFP 04).
Here you will come to know many of the bands/musicians featured in this blog. If you like what you hear, you may check out more of their music later on.

There is also a "FOCUS ON..." section. Here you will find albums that imo are absolutely great (***** = "five-stars-recordings") and that are essential listening and strongly recommended for download.

Maricomio - Mixed Nuts (EP) (USA 2009)

MARICOMIO is the "brainchild of a singer/songwriter from southern Appalachia who would prefer to remain anonymous; the Maricomio Project is a result of myriad influences that have culminated in a variety of sparsely arranged, melodic tracks. MARICOMIO's music is indeed very hard to describe. There are some instrumental tracks (e.g. chamber, Lightly), other songs are more in an art pop context, like Dollie, that reminds me of early TORI AMOS. Without a doubt her singing voice is marvellous. Excellent music, recommended!
