KID PRIMITIVE is Justin K Prim with a random group of friends.

'Spells' was recorded April - August 2008 in a cabin at the Omega Institute outside of Rhinebeck, New York. The KID PRIMITIVE FAMILY is based in Chicago, IL.

"All of the spells were created on a 4-track looper and then bounced on to a 4-track cassette recorder where the main vocal was recorded. (...) Each spell was created with a specific magickal process; the song channels in from source and I record it. Then for a week or so, the spell repeats over and over in my mind like a mantra. Then, when the time is right, I perform the spell in front of an audience. I clear the space and then I ask the audience to participate in the casting of the spell by letting me use their psychic energy to help power the intention. (...)" (info from 'Spells' Insert)

I guess something like this you will never have heard before - at least I never have! A little bit strange at first listen, but after some time I found those a capella sounds quite fascinating... Enjoy!
