This EP here comes from a guy who lives in North Wales, who does all the singing and playing on a piece of music, he simply titles "My First EP". He calls himself LOW - FYE and the EP was recorded 2008 on a digital 4-track recorder. Most of it sounds ... well, rather lofi, sometimes it's just an acoustic guitar and a voice (e.g. "A Careless And Disorganized Song/Make Up Your Mind") we hear, sometimes some more sounds are added to good effect ("Symptoms", "Today")'; some tracks are instrumental. Don't let the fact that the sound isn't latest hifi stop you from downloading this EP, because it is realy good. My favourite tracks are "Today" and "Repeat", that both show a strong SYD BARRETT influence (rather the BARRETT of "Terrapin" and "Dominoes" than of "Piper" or "See Emily Play" one should probably add).
Enjoy!

Don't apologize for the low fidelity - that's why we're here! And this EP is a perfect example of why. Spooky, melancholy, intimate yet interstellar. I don't know if it's just something about Welsh voices, but I hear a John Cale influence as well as Syd Barrett. My only complaint might be that it's too short and leaves me hungry for more - but then again, I'd rather have 15 minutes of pure sonic interest than 80 minutes of something far less fascinating. Keep up the good work, Low - Fye, and bring us more in the future!
fuckin sucked
