No need to introduce LOW - FYE to you blog readers; this is already his 3rd release on Homemade-Lofi-Psych. "The Comfort Soak" is the most recent collection of haunting songs, all written by LOW - FYE in spring 2009. Sparse, sketchy songs played on acoustic guitar with some occasional sound collages added to the mix ("Voices") in lofi aesthetics - reminding of a moody solo SYD BARRETT (ca. 1969/70). low - fye: Trained Ghosts/Sketches (UK-Wales 2009)

In January I posted the first EP of LOW - FYE from Wales (from 2008); here we've got some new stuff of atmospheric introspective freak-folk - a collection of 2 self-released EPs titled, "Trained Ghosts/Sketches", recorded at the start of 2009. Still I hear a big SYD BARRETT influence (especially the haunting voice!) in that collection of short compositions - no song is longer than 2:35! Impressive, very cool stuff!
Enjoy!

Low - Fye: My First EP (UK 2008)
This EP here comes from a guy who lives in North Wales, who does all the singing and playing on a piece of music, he simply titles "My First EP". He calls himself LOW - FYE and the EP was recorded 2008 on a digital 4-track recorder. Most of it sounds ... well, rather lofi, sometimes it's just an acoustic guitar and a voice (e.g. "A Careless And Disorganized Song/Make Up Your Mind") we hear, sometimes some more sounds are added to good effect ("Symptoms", "Today")'; some tracks are instrumental. Don't let the fact that the sound isn't latest hifi stop you from downloading this EP, because it is realy good.
