HOMEMADE LOFI PSYCH --- WHERE TO START?

"There is so much great music here..." WHERE TO START???

I recommend to
start with the HLFP-Samplers (especially HLFP 04).
Here you will come to know many of the bands/musicians featured in this blog. If you like what you hear, you may check out more of their music later on.
(You may also click on the picture on the sidebar and you will find the original post with download links.)

There is also a "FOCUS ON..." section. Here you will find albums that imo are absolutely great (***** = "five-stars-recordings") and that are essential listening and strongly recommended for download.

I TRY to RE-UP some stuff that has been down from time to

time, but I still don't have enough time to

listen to/post much new stuff.

Sorry!

Veee Deee - Four Unmastered Jams (JP 2007/9)

"...a small collection of unmastered jams. We have two or three discs worth of these; they'll get released some day." (Clay)

Recorded in 2007 and 2009. My favourite one from those three posts – if you like heavy guitar psych you should really check this one out!

Enjoy!

Veee Deee - Veee Deee (LP) (JP 2008)

In January 2008 VEEE DEEE released a self-titled LP that is out of print already.

"A lot of what we do is improvised, but when it comes time to edit our goal is always to make everything as tight and as musical as possible. Maybe that violates some Improviser's Purity Law, but we don't care. A good jam is one thing, a good record is another." (Clay)

Enjoy!

Fuckland Better Business Bureau - Pre-Veee Deee (CAN 2004-6)

VEEE DEEE started in 2006, jamming in a rehearsal space in northwest Tokyo, playing 40- and 50-minute long jams. They are two guys: Clay is Canadian and plays guitar and sings; Tom is British and plays drums.

They both like it loud!

"We both thrive on volume and distortion and have a hard time getting into a jam unless it's brutally loud." (Clay)

This here – FUCKLAND BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU – is some stuff that Clay did before VEEE DEEE, some improv with a drummer back in Canada and a couple drone tracks he made by mic-ing the TV in his apartment. Enjoy!
